I would have loved to be in on this call. I’m hoping that time allows me to be present the next time. I’m going to check out David’s book! Thank you Adam for creating a shift in what community means ❤️
It would be a great book for the library to have, as I recommend it to almost everyone I've known more than a few months. I would love to have you on the call in the future!
very sad to have missed the call! had a business planning meeting with a close friend at the same and didn’t want to cancel on her as she was giving me the gift of her knowledge! Looking forward to the next one.
It looks like the planning group has settled on the third Tuesday of the month at 3pm EST. It'll go out in next week's newsletter. Thanks for your interest, Isabelle. And blessings on your work.
Each time I sit down to read your contributions here, I am awash in gratitude. Thank you for building an ontological bridge I’ve been grasping at for many years. The Spell of the Sensuous is one of my favorite pieces of environmental philosophy, but in my mind it was always lodged in the category of wilderness, and didn’t make space for the necessity for landscapes to be human places as well. By replacing shaman (a term that feels a bit icky as a white person to throw around) with farmer, it all clicks into place for me. I abandoned Abram many years ago to develop a philosophy of farming birthed from the practices of farmers. I thought maybe my contribution to this world could be to elevate the voices of farmers to philosophers. And now, your work has brought these two strands together in my head- and I am whirling at possibility of it all.
This is exquisite, Tatiana. Thank you for the blast of enthusiasm. What you've named is central for me, the reclamation of the possibility that our European ancestors might have had a capacity for relationship, even with their hands on the plow or the axe. Will you be at the ADK Food Justice Summit this year?
Unfortunately I haven’t been able to make it over to the ADKs for years. That event is near and dear to my heart though. I hope you have a wonderful time.

This is a really fine piece, Adam. Well done!
Thank you very much, Dennis.
