You keep announcing your intention to post the budget. You squirm a bit. So please experiment with seeing the dynamic from my point of view. I am itching to hear of your budget: I do not care what the numbers are, as I trust your skills as a farmer. I am itching to hear your call for contributions. I am not quite at the point of requesting to pledge zero, though my cashmoney funds are low… But I itch for the opportunity to participate in this reclaimed lifeway. I am filled with joy, optimism, pride of association, renewed connection to the Farm, and a boost for my own still-fledgling attempts at swerving monestised transacting when you offer the chance to say YES to the neighbouring way of the Farm.
So get on with it! Pitch us the chance to connect and poke our little beaks into the air-pocket at the tip of the egg.
It's mostly that I haven't taken a day to tend to the computer work! We just finished planting the big garden yesterday, today the rest of the basil and parsley go in and some flowers. Tomorrow they say rain is coming and I'll force myself indoors. Thank you for the nudge, Kathryn.
Fantastic discussion of the gift economy and the tremendous faith you have in it. Adam, I didn’t quite understand the part about the squirrel tail, and what it means when “Caroline suggested entering into respectful relationship by skinning and tanning.”
Thank you for the note, David. That bit about the squirrel was pointing toward the capacity I see in Caroline to recognize the gift everywhere emanating from the landscape. To receive the gift, of a paint brush in this case, means not heading out to purchase a brush from the store.
So much to respond to, here!
But the pressing, jiggling piece is this:

Thanks Adam. This definitely makes sense now.
Much love to you today, Adam
Thank you, Marsha.
